What are teeth implants?

Teeth implants are the best option of replacing the loss of tooth in modern dentistry. They are made of titanium art that is implanted directly in the bone to make up for the root of the tooth. That part is the part that after the healing with the remaining bone tissue will serve as a support for the new tooth that will be made of dental material that best fits the aesthetics, position and function of the tooth.

Who is the candidate for getting teeth implants?

Loss of natural teeth with patient can cause uncertainty to talk to other people or laugh. Besides, the unhealthy bite caused by the loss of tooth can have a negative effect on the eating habits, which can in some case get to secondary health problems like malnourish, heartburn, gastritis... All who miss their natural teeth and who have been taken away the natural ability to chew, aesthetic looks or reduced ability to speak, is a candidate for teeth implants.

It is important that you have enough bone tissue for installing the implants, that the bone is of satisfying firmness and that you do not have any health issues(uncontrolled diabetes, chemotherapy after tumour etc.) that can endanger the process of healing the implants to the bone.

Teeth implants can also be a solution in patients that have a hard time wearing dentures.

What are the advantages of the implant?

Preserving natural teeth.

By having an implant you do not have to sacrifice neighbourhood teeth that would otherwise have to be polished for installing bridgework. The neighbourhood teeth around the implant will remain intact which represent the highest service that you can do for the health of your teeth

The look of the final prosthetic work will largely depend on the knowledge and the ability of the dentist, and the quality of cooperation with teeth technician. Implants are done by the modern aesthetic principles that look like a natural tooth that grown from the gums. Implants that can be used to make up for one or more teeth or the entire tooth bow; they can be carriers of bridges or braces, even a support for orthodontic moving of the tooth.

Less lose of the bone tissue

When losing a natural tooth, the bone around the tooth root slowly starts to disappear, which can change the shape of your jaw. Tooth implant placed on that area stimulates the growth of the bone, and prevents the loss of bone structure.

Enhanced functionality

By the end of the integration of the implant with the bone, they function equally important as your natural teeth – with implants you can eat any food and smile with confidence, as oppose to some other substitutes with whom chewing of harder food can cause irritation and inflammation of the gums.

Only truly right installed implant can ensure function of speech and chewing as the one before the loss of tooth. Teeth prosthesis can make the patients feel and look older, decreasing the joy of everyday smooth eating and confidence.

Reliability and continuance

The research have showed that the success of implants even 10 years after built is 95%, while the 30% of natural teeth that were polished and installed in the bridge, in period of 7 to 10 years are lost.

What is the procedure of implanting teeth implants?

Before the implantation itself, it is needed to check the state of your teeth and gums. If there are signs of a disease of gums or bleeding of teeth, it should be cured. For planning the procedure of installation of implants it is approach with detailed RCG diagnostic examination in which there is an evaluation of quality of the bone along with all anatomical structure that should be monitored during the installation of the implant.

Then there is a conversation in which we will explain in details with the plan of the therapy and further procedure.

Phases of installing implants

  • Teeth implants are installed in the bone with a routine procedure. The procedure itself lasts for a short time and it is completely painless, taking the fact that it is done under local anaesthesia.
  • After the installation of the implant there is a period of recovery during which the implant ossiointegrates with the bone, which usually takes about 2 do 6 months.
  • After the period of recovery on the implant is set an upgrade, which serves as a support for later teeth placement.
  • Month to two months later, after the strengthening of the gums, on an implant is set the final tooth.
